At the beginning of the year I started to teach classes at my local yoga studio The Breathing Room. This meant it was time to discover new music for my classes. Personally I have a hard time using playlists multiple times, which means making playlists is an incredibly time consuming task. I reached out to the people who follow me on Instagram and asked for some song recommendations and got tons of great suggestions. Many of the songs appear in my three latest playlists seen below. You'll notice many of my playlists end with the same two songs. I think it's nice for the students who regularly practice with me to have some familiarity at the end of class, so when they hear these songs they know it's time to relax and surrender.
These songs are just so delightfully relaxing. This playlist provides 60 minutes of bliss. If you want songs that don't have lyrics for a mellow playlist give these a listen.
This 60 minute yoga flow playlist is calmly paced for a slow burning class. The nature of these songs work well for a class with long holds. Most of the songs lack lyrics if you prefer that vibe for your classes or practice.
This 90 minute playlist has songs which have lyrics if that's your jam. The songs in this playlist start out slow, but build in tempo, which is perfect for a faster paced flow class.
